About A Touch of a Brush

Family owned. Painting since 1990.

Albert Salazar has been painting professionally since 1990. A Touch of a Brush is family owned and operated - Albert and his wife run it together, with a crew they trust.

Quality Over Quantity

In Albert’s words: “Every customer is different so I take the time to find out what they need and bring it to life. I choose quality over quantity. It’s not about how many homes I can paint it’s about making each home that I paint something the owners will love.”

Most of the work is homes around Charlotte: full exterior repaints, kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities, interiors from one room to the whole house, and the rotten siding, trim and columns that have to be fixed before any of it is worth painting.

A painter who is also a carpenter

Albert does the carpentry himself. Customers describe him replacing rotten siding and trim, shoring up railings, and making custom cornices, trim and flashing - one called him “a master wood worker.” A builder of thirty years wrote that among the many painters he has worked with, “Alberts team is exceptional.”

The estimate is the price

Albert gives every estimate himself, free. He walks the house, points out what needs fixing, explains the paint he will use and why, and puts it all in writing. “The price he quoted was fixed,” one customer wrote, “and I wasn’t charged a cent more than he quoted.” He is on the job every day to check the work, and the crew cleans up before they leave.

Back every year for five years

“I offer a 5 year warranty that includes one free inspection and pressure washing per year for 5 years.” It is the part of the job customers mention long after the paint is dry. Se habla español.

STEP 2

Free estimate

Albert walks the job himself and gives you a written estimate that spells out the prep, the repairs and the paint.

STEP 3

Repair, prep, paint

Floors and plants protected, damaged wood replaced, surfaces washed, sanded and primed, then painted. The crew cleans up every day.

STEP 4

Walk-around - and every year after

You go over the finished job together. Exterior customers get a free inspection and pressure wash each year for five years.
